How does TTouch help your puppy to develop into an emotionally and physically balanced adult? Puppies grow quickly. It is often difficult for their minds to keep up with the speed at which their body grows. This affects movement and physical balance which in turn can affect the puppy's emotional development and balance. If pups get into the habit of holding tension in certain parts of the body they can become over excitable and difficult to manage or very sensitive and reactive to being touched. By using TTouch body work and ground work exercises an owner can build a bond more quickly, as well as enhance their pup's confidence and abilty to learn. This all helps to reduce behaviours associated with over excitement or fear. |

A puppy who is aware of it's body and moves with confidence finds it much easier to learn to walk on a loose lead and cope with new experiences or situations. TTouch methods are used to help puppies to learn self control. It is important that pups learn how to interact with each other but equally they need to learn how to be calm in a busy environment when it may not appropriate to play. Confidence course is great fun for puppies and owners. Puppies are playing while learning how to walk slowly and in balance. It is a tremendous boost to emotional confidence if puppies have a good awareness of how their body moves. The other really important lesson we want our pups to learn is thow to walk at human pace, on a loose lead without pulling. If the puppy is able to walk slowly this is a more reaslistic expectation.
